5G base stations, optical modules and connectors are mostly aluminium and copper alloy parts, judged on thin-wall deep cavities, dimensional consistency and batch stability.

An aluminium filter cavity with deep, narrow resonant chambers and thin dividing walls that tend to deflect during cutting. Rigid machining centres, purpose-made cutters and stepped passes hold the cavity dimensions and a Ra1.6 finish.

Small brass and stainless steel connector parts with fine threads, produced in high volume. A Swiss-type lathe turns the OD and the thread and mills the slots and holes in one setup, with cycle times under 30 seconds.

High-density heat sinks with fins 0.5 mm thick on a 1.5 mm pitch, which require a high-speed spindle and rigid tool holders to avoid chatter. Automatic tool change and batch fixtures allow continuous production.
